Last weekend my number 3 son and our exchange student went for a ride in Cade's Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Traffic was lite and temps were great!.

The loop around the cove is great and it always makes me think of an earlier time. When things were simple, folks took time to rock on the front porch. They talked, they laughed, they sang, and they were family. No X-box, no cable TV, and frequently no lights.  People were kind to one another because it was their way and not to "get something" from someone. While no doubt today are the "good old days" but there was some "good" in the "old days".

If you get the chance to visit Cade's Cove do so... Take a moment or two and just stop, look, and listen. You will be glad you did.
